exorcist, where did my neck go?, all in your rows

Ten days of perfect tunes

sharing different heartbeats in one night

17th Beat: AUDIO FOREVER
Really Kanda?, ?!, "Oh right you can't see it you're blind"
[info]audiens
[NOT WATER SLOSHING /SUCH A REBEL!!!! ... no, okay, there is absolutely the sound of water in the backdrop. Also that of: the boat creaking, claws or nails scratching along a surface, skittering...]

Hello? Right. It seems like we're not the only ones in this situatiuon, but I thought I should let the others know--

Miranda and I are all right.

It's sort of fun! If, uh... a little long.

Sorry, Miranda.

Anyone know any games we could play? I-SPY is not applicable.

16th Beat: AUDIO FOREVER
no kanda it doesn't make you look fat, got a lot to learn from each other
[info]audiens
Well, now I'm curious. Valentine's Day has been around for awhile even in my world, but I get the feeling it's a little more hyped for most of you.

So!

Anyone have plans? Will there be any romantic nights on the town, that sort of thing? The City's sure setting the mood.

15th Beat: VIDEO
someone told kanda it makes him look fat
[info]audiens
I didn't expect to get anything, so I'm flattered! Really.

But, uh...

[Marie holds up THESE:]

... I'm thinking, maybe these were delivered to the wrong guy.

14th Beat: AUDIO FOREVER, YOU KNOW THE DRILL.
if i could shake that darkness, luminescence is ours
[info]audiens
I gather from the network that yesterday the curse was blindness. And some who couldn't see, could.

I think, in the end, I'm glad I wasn't affected.

...

Heh. It was pretty funny listening to some of you bumping into things. Well, I hope it wasn't too much trouble. I find it easy enough to make do, but then, I've some advantage... and also, it's all I know.

Krory, you have a job yet? I hope everyone had a piece of Miranda's birthday cake.

13th Beat: AUDIO/ACTION ...IF YOU WANT...IDK
someone told kanda it makes him look fat
[info]audiens
Network's been saying things about mistletoe, but...

Heh. I can't just sit inside all day. Kanda's out of soba. Again.

So, do me a favor? If you see me around, look extra hard for the plants, unless... uh, because I can't.

[ooc: BACKDATED TO EARLIER OKAY PLZ... YOU KNOW DAYLIGHT HOURS. ... OKAY ZZZZZ + WORK FIRST THING = RESUMING @ EVENING SUNDAY EST]

12th Beat: AUDIO FOREVER
Job 2: Worries After Idiots, he loves you allen... really..., NEIN ICH WILL NICHT ES, >(, dumb midgets harsh my zen
[info]audiens
All right.

I'm not even going to try to explain what was going through my head yesterday.

But, if you're going to do it, just get it out of your system now. I'll start us off easy: hey, Marie, where's the hair?

I don't think I'll ever get the smell of floor cleaner off my scalp.

And once you've finished, maybe someone can tell me if they've heard from Lavi or Lenalee recently?

11th Beat:
purty mouth...heh...
[info]audiens
[ACCIDENTAL VIDEO - PROBABLY. ALSO ACTION FOR MIRANDA.]

[Is that a mop on his head? Why yes, it is. How else to achieve hair one has not? Unfortunately, mops don't come it the proper length but, well, he works with what he has. The giant man is slightly hunched as he knocks on an apartment door, not looking around (obviously) nervously. However, his head does, on occasion, twitch in this direction and that, as if hearing something unsettling....]

M-Miranda? Can I come in... I-I don't think I can live with Kanda anymore...

10th Beat: AUDIO FOREVER
someone told kanda it makes him look fat
[info]audiens
I'd hoped that I wouldn't need to say this, but someone necessitated it.

I was cursed this weekend. Why would I want to braid Timothy's hair or cut Kanda's? I'm blind.

Please disregard most of what I said, if you haven't already.

Except the picnic. I still think that would be nice.

[ooc: ... if only because Tianzi was so excited for it ;P]

9th Beat: AUDIO FOREVER.
well i'm not listening no more, kanda stfu
[info]audiens
I think we've been letting a few things slide, don't you? I've been preparing a list! Uh, mentally, you know, but I think I remember everything:

Doll, feeling better today?

Kanda, just because I can't see doesn't mean I don't know this: you need a hair cut. Just sit tight and it will be over fast.

Tim, I'm concerned about some of the messages in that noi--uh, music you listen to. And what're you teaching that dog to do? That place must be pretty overwhelming, but don't forget: no feeding at the table. Allen, I'm holding you responsible for keeping him in line... and setting a good example.

That means less death threats.

Miranda, what's the status on employment and your living situation? Now that Lenalee's back, I hope you aren't living alone? Speaking of,

Lavi and Lenalee, how's the adjustment period? Has the Supervisor welcomed the light of day now?

I think what we all need is a communal meal. It's a little cool, but how does a picnic sound? I'd like to invite Tianzi along. Just, uh... I'll need some help with the food.

[ooc: Mother Hen Marie?! alksmd ]

8th Beat:
i'll never get to fly high
[info]audiens
[ON PURPOSE VIDEO POST. SO THERE. SCENE? FOREST.]

[The visual shakes a little as Marie sets down the device, and mutters:]

I don't know if this will work...

[It doesn't. All you can see are his feet, and some of his legs, as he walks from the device.]

Ready, Kanda?

[All right, it sort of does, because he's now far enough that the viewer can see his back as he sends out his Innocence, razor sharp strings slicing into a number of thick, towering trees. There is silence first, then a slow creaking. Then an immense crashing as the trees begin to fall, rather neatly, implying he'd already cut them quite a bit before recording.

Once the noise stops ringing, Marie turns and calls, in the wrong direction]

It's Noise Marie - and I'm always looking for another job!

7TH BEAT: AUDIO FOREVER
trust your uncle dudley, heh, marie is not a pedobear, no really
[info]audiens
That much closer to the big three-oh.

Does anyone else get a little philosophical? Not all the time. Life keeps us busy enough, I think most don't pay attention to how time is moving. Then it's the new year, or a birthday. And ... uh...

...

Well, I'm not too good at philosophy.

I bought myself a record. And cupcakes. With sprinkles. On sticks! The city was pretty busy on Wednesday, so I had a pretty nice gift: peace and quiet. Seemed like most of whatever was going on was visual.

Anyway, I didn't want to pull a Kanda and not tell anyone, so there you are. Sorry it's late - drinks on me?

Not you, Timothy. Or ...

... Everyone but the Supervisor? Heh.

[ooc: Sadly, the link is not IC FOR OBVIOUS REASONS. ]

6th Beat: AUDIO FOREVER
Really Kanda?, ?!, "Oh right you can't see it you're blind"
[info]audiens
[IN THE SHOUNEN TARD APARTMENT, OKAY?]

We'll have to learn to cook, don't you think, Kanda? We shouldn't keep relying on Watanuki's hospitality, and it'd be outright silly once we've finally got our own place.

... Wonder how we'll install the electric?

Anyway, has anyone seen Miranda recently? I'm not sure she should be living alone, and I'd like to see her settled before Kanda and I--

[LOW, IN THE BACKGROUND, LASSIE I HOPE THIS OKAY, COMES THE DULL BEGINNING OF AN AC/DC SONG. NOW LOUD, PULSING THROUGH THE WALLS.]

... Hello? Hello?

[Fiddling with the knobs on his headphones, not that you can really hear]

Hello? ... Uh...

[OOC: SECRET WEAKNESS IS MODERN ROCK, ESPECIALLY METAL. god with scrll this took for.e.ver. someday i won't post last minute for activity, sob... and some day, i won't do it right before work. SWEAR TO REPLY AS I CAN GUYZ.]

5th Beat: AUDIO FOREVER;
one night to be confused, unseeing is a virtue?
[info]audiens
... Let down your hair! ... A little to the left. Your other left.

[Here go climbing sounds. AND THEN THE VOICE OF A WITCH]

Aha, you would fetch your dearest, but the beautiful bird sits no longer singing in the nest. The cat has got it, and will scratch out your eyes as... What's this? You're already blind!

...

... Well, you still might as well jump from the tower in despair. Go on, then!

... That wouldn't be very smart, would it?

Despair. You're in despair, not smart!

I've seen worse.

No you haven't, you're--

Look, is Miran--Rapunzel here or not? Out with it, or I'll play you a tune you won't like.

[Sound: strings uncurling.]

4th Beat: - AUDIO FOREVER
no kanda it doesn't make you look fat, got a lot to learn from each other
[info]audiens
It's been quite a month. And now I've been here for just over one.

I've been a little too spending happy with that record store, Timothy. But my piece of choice for this month must be --

[Here: the scratching as a needle dips down, and then, this begins playing]

This is what we get to look forward to, huh, Kanda? If we're still here, maybe we should start working on something more permanent.

If you still want something outside of the city proper, that is.

3rd Beat:
one night to be confused, unseeing is a virtue?
[info]audiens
[Voice: post Midnight]

[Low, muttered:] Everything in it's right place. ...Right?

Is it over?

Everyone ... normal? Only one heartbeat from Link. An artificial life? Something tells me I didn't make much of a woman.

I guess they got bored of the environmental ones. Are those the kind of curses to expect? Though I doubt anyone has much luck expecting that sort of thing.

Nothing too damaging, I hope?

[ooc: HOKAI, was gender switched Sunday but kept it to himself. But if you saw him. He probably looked like Mahoja, 1, 2, only ... with less neck. And less Asian. ]

2nd Beat:
no kanda it doesn't make you look fat, got a lot to learn from each other
[info]audiens
[VOICE FOREVER 8)]

There's a curse today, huh?

Since I've arrived, everything's been attributable to nature. Except this one. I wouldn't know.

I was going to ask a few things, but I guess I should wait until everyone's calmed down. Unless anyone has a job opening for a guy who doesn't mind the dark. Or has a spare change of clothes, extra large.

1st Beat:
exorcist, where did my neck go?, all in your rows
[info]audiens
[AUDIO]

[Static; the swell and ebb of sound as knobs are turned experimentally -- then, finally]

Sorry. I think I have it now. ... This device does not belong to the Black Order. But the machinery is not Akuma.

...

The clock underground must be enormous. But beyond the ticking, I can hear your voices. Where are y—we?
